Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District Agricultural Programs and Services |
| Our number one priority in working with the agricultural community is to protect water quality and conserve our natural resources. We utilize a number of tools to accomplish this goal. JCSWCD has obtained over $1.85 million in state funding and over $1.9 million in federal funding on behalf of north country farmers since 2002. These funds are being used directly in Jefferson County for agricultural environmental planning and for implementation of conservation practices that keep our county farms environmentally sound. Assisting Jefferson County farmers is a priority of the SWCD. | |

| Agricultural Non Point Source Grant Program | |

| Soil Group Worksheets for Ag Assessment Applications | |
| We complete soil group worksheets for landowners who are preparing to file an Agricultural Assessment. Once the soil group worksheet has been completed on your parcel of land, you will not need to do another one unless revisions are needed due to the sale of a portion of a parcel or at the request of your assessor. We recommend that you check with your local assessor to find out the deadline for the application. | |
